A big ask

You will not break me.

That sentiment is something I can relate to.

Apparently, I'm not the only one.

Sooo... I did a thing. I reached out for help with my movie and heard back in a really cool way.

What kind of assist did I get? A 2023 Kickstarter-exclusive standard hardcover edition of Dungeon Crawler Carl #1! Signed by the author himself (as opposed to his second cousin or his cat or something) and donated specifically to help raise funds for Sparkle On!

Now, Matt and I do not go way back. We didn't serve in 'Nam. But there is a special connection between this book and Sparkle On—as well as the book I'm editing by Kara—that will forever live in my heart. And I'm going to tell that story at the fundraiser—right before we auction off the book that changed Matt's life and is changing mine, too, in a way, by helping me push Kara's story forward.

Maybe that's melodramatic, but I don't think so.

Anyway, the ask is this: If you know a crawler out there who might be able to attend the Sparkle On fundraiser on Sept. 19, tell them about the event! They could stand a chance to take this gorgeous book home with them AND drive Sparkle On ever closer to the big screen.

I didn't realize it until recently, but Dungeon Crawler Carl is HUGE. It's heading to Peacock. Celebrities love it. Everyday people love it. It's loved all over the world.
