The Early Edition: Hospital Style!

A high fever last Friday got me to the ER and into a hospital bed until... Well right now as I type this. By the time I had gotten to the ER I still had a fever but it had gone low grade, they did a CT scan and found a deeper abscess that ultimately proved too tricky to attempt normal surgical drain protocol. I have been on IV antibiotics since and left in a holding position until I could get into a specialized team that does CT scan assisted drain placement, which will be sometime today. I will write a more extended post on my “adventures 🙄” in my next post if all goes well. I just didn’t want to leave you hanging or wondering. Everyone has been really good to me thus far for the most part.

Wish me luck!

Until next time ♥️

There is much to celebrate 3 years (tomorrow officially) after my initial diagnosis! First of all I am still alive and actually thriving right now, a true miracle and gift thanks to the clinical trial
