Just when the clouds part and the rain cleans our streets the DOJ starts calling us names. Sticks and stones I guess, I am not mad that someone thinks we are a den of anti fascists but if they try and use it to not help those in need...I smell a pro fascism rat, our government really sucks right now, that’s all I am going to say about it.
My dad asked me what cancer feels like, I think this is a valid question and one that has no true answer. Pain, which can be a symptom, is subjective and really up to whomever is experiencing it to register any discomfort level. Often the treatment can be far more uncomfortable than the actual disease.
I knew something wasn’t right in my body for a couple of years but there are so many issues other than cancer that can be a culprit of compromised health. Chances are there was something going on in my body that morphed into cancer at some point but nobody can truly answer when or why that happened. Though there are tons of lists on the internet with all sorts of symptoms that could be this, that OR CANCER!
My truth is that I only know I have cancer because someone with medical authority told me so. Don’t get me wrong, I am pretty sure the experts are right but I just don’t think there is a specific flavor or visceral feeling or sensation that fills the “Yup, that’s exactly what cancer feels like for everyone” box.
In other news, I finished reillustrating my children’s book “Fiona Plays With Her Beaver” just yesterday. I originally wrote and illustrated the book in 2011 and I always wanted to get to a point where I could draw better and I think I am there, this is something that I can thank cancer for, I really was able to hone my skills on a couch for most of the last year and I can’t wait to share it with you, stay tuned!
Truthfully I am pretty distracted with getting all of the parts of my book ready and off to the person who is going to format it this week...THIS WEEK! How excited I am! Seriously, it feels good to actually make something that people may enjoy! Regardless it feels good to actually work on something that is creative and came from me and my love of my dogs.
Until next time ❤️
