thanks so much for the sharing. my childhood was not nearly so tumultuous, but my relationship with my mom was similar and it gives me some insight into my issues with self worth when i see you reflect on yours. i'm sorry about the rescue not coming through, i had a similar thing happen where the person doing the promoting never did any promotion whatsoever, and so when i canceled my appearance a week ahead of time they called me unprofessional. ha. if they find the book offensive they should not agree to promote it, and communicate that. why is basic common decency so hard for people.
